Common “Cents” Accounting Professional

I was born and raised on the 79 Ranch south of Ryegate, MT. My parents were Farmers and Ranchers so I learned to love the earth and the animals.  I learned the value of hard work, commitment, and a forward thinking attitude. I admire my parents for teaching me to stay humble, appreciate the good things in life, and to not expect anything to be handed to me. I’m lucky that I get to visit with them every week here in Billings.

I married a year out of college and spent 23 years working and living in Eastern Montana working in the Oil Fields. The Oil fields were totally foreign to me, but I learned fast and worked hard to make a living. We raised our children in the Fairview community and enjoyed the people there. We were active members of the Jaycees and worked on numerous volunteer projects for the community.

While living in Fairview I went back to college and worked to achieve my Accounting Degree. I was an Older-Than-Average student and never realized how fun school could be. I enjoyed every minute of it!

After I graduated, I went to work for a local bank as a teller and worked my way up to a Operations Officer. I loved banking and all the challenges it brings.

Over the years, I continued to work in various roles related to banking, accounting, and customer service. I started Common Cents Solutions to a solid, grounded, down-to-earth approach to managing financials for small and medium businesses. I love finding solutions for my clients and providing them a service they can rely upon.

I also enjoy volunteering through a variety of organizations. My favorite volunteer activity is helping low-income households or the elderly with their taxes through a variety of programs in our community.
